Just wanted to thank all of you for the amazing support and comments you have made. They mean a lot and push me further! I am there Along with you in your journeys too!!
I have some great friends that have given me wonderful tips about running. One of them went running with me this week and showed me how to better my form AND I ran 6 miles and two bouts of hills. It was incredible!
Went to a great store called the sneaker store. They have a great staff there full of knowledge. They got me into a pair of neutral shoes. They fit like a glove and I feel so secure. I used to sneaker shop and pick the ones that looked the prettiest to me. I will never do that again! My old shoes-Nike reax- felt like running on a piece of plywood compared to these!
Sorry for lack of posts. I’m really focused on my fitness and eating healthy.
I will update you on my status.
-As you see above, I am now at 216.6, everyone is starting to notice a difference in my weight which is so worth it.
-In my previous posts I have spoken about running 4 times a week, 3X doing 30 minutes and one day a week around 4 to 5 miles.I recently upped my game and have decided to not only increase my jogging speed from 3.9 to 4.0 which to most is slow..I am also doing 2 minutes of running as fast as I can, 2 minutes of jogging for my thirty minutes. I was starting to notice that I was getting bored on the treadmill, this has helped a lot. Although, the weather is getting nicer and I have been starting to run outside. Let me tell you, running outside is a lot more difficult than it is on the treadmill. Its like starting over again.
-I am still sticking to eating vegan, which is tasty and wonderful. I have great friends, family and girlfriend who are very supporting.
-I feel great, hardly any headaches, I am starting to see more energy.
There are people at work who are very judgemental about me going vegan, but they are also fat and miserable and very stuck in their ways while I continue to lose weight..hmmm…
some before and after (still have tons to lose..so its not really after) photos
Progress photos!
That’s all there’s to it. It’s that simple.
The 2012 Colour Run is currently touring through 20 U.S. cities. The only requirement is wearing a white shirt. Throughout the run, participants are doused in bright pigments (cornstarch that is 100% natural and safe). Each kilometer is focused on a specific color – 1k is yellow, 2k is blue, 3k is green, 4k is pink, and the 5k finish is a “Colour Extravaganza” where a rainbow of hues are thrown.

Hey, guys.
Sorry for lack of updates. I will post some of my vegan option meals I have taken pics of.
I have run 3 days total this week (30 minutes each) I have learned now why people say running is very mental. This week it has been difficult to not just jump off the treadmill and go home.
My new years resolution was to lose weight and stick to an exercise plan. It was also to stick to my goals. Even if I’m tired and don’t feel like it. I am happy to say I haven’t backed down! It may be slow progress but I am doing it.
I like to say I “Mind Fuck” myself while running. Instead of going “Wow, only 1 minute has passed..this is going to take FOREVER” I say “WOW! I can’t believe 1 minute has ALREADY passed!” I also like to lie to myself …let me explain. Even though I know I will be running for 30 consecutive minutes.. I tell myself when I have hit say 5 minutes “Come on get to 10 minutes only five more” and I repeat this process until I hit 30 minutes then cool down for five minutes. Sounds crazy, right? Well thats why I call it a “Mind Fuck” plus I really like using that phrase.
Can I tell you my runs have consisted of me dripping sweat by the time I am done! I am not usually a big sweater (not the piece of clothing) so I guess I am working hard.
Weight update: I have officially lost 17.4 lbs which leaves me @ 221.2. I will take some progress pics.
I am due for some new running sneakers-mine are falling apart because I am really abusive with shoes.
I have been eating all vegan for about two weeks- I feel GREAT! For all of those who have thought about going vegan and think wow thats impossible! (thats the way I have always thought) it REALLY isn’t! I ate meat and dairy every single day and way too much of it! I don’t miss it at all. There are a lot of alternatives out there that taste exactly or very close. I am having a hard time with the taste of cheese alternatives..I would rather just not eat them for a while. I don’t miss cheese. I eat great! I don’t have to calorie count any longer I just watch my portion sizes. Even though I am eating a plant based diet it is still possible for me to overeat.
HAPPY DAY!
